About me

Im not very fond at heigths, but also I like to challenge my disabilities. The first picture is of me sitting on Preikestolen, and its 600 metres straight down. I have also been at the top of the Eiffel tower, and the thought of riding an elevator that was made in 1896 was abit disturbing.

Apart from trying to conquer my fear of heights I really enjoy all kinds of outdoors activities, from volleyball to fishing to mountainbiking. I also have an uncle who is an amateur wildlife photographer that i sometimes join in his quest for rare birds. Currently i only have a compact digital camera but im drooling on the Nikon D80. (Edit: I bought the D80 camera with 3 different lenses for my tax return, i am very pleased with this camera)

People see me as a quiet and somewhat shy guy, but its really because I do not see any reason to be big mouthed just so I can get more respect from friends. The things i respect the most are intelligent people who do not lay any restrictions to how they present something. I also have a great respect of authority and what they do, what i dont respect tho, are the politicians who can spend hundreds of hours discussing some small matter, and in the end end up doing nothing with it. I spendt one year in the Norwegian army, that was a year i learned alot about spending time outdoors, about myself and about responsibility. In the army i was a Browning M2 gunner and a BV206 driver, its a year im especially proud of.

After the army i started my studies on becoming a teacher, im currently on my 4th and hopefully last year towards my goal. Last year i took a minor in science, and this year im taking a minor in sports as a part of my bachelorsdegree in education. My dream is teaching on a small school, on an island somewhere in norway, surrounded by sea and nature, and with more time to sit down with each student and help them learn to their limit. My secondary goal is to make educational software for kids.

Knowledge

I really enjoy learning new stuff, both on the computer and work related challenges, and over the years i have had a finger in a good variety of programs and challenges at work. In this list i will only mention the skills that i enjoy using.
