Amadeus the noble wizard of the caravan town Osis had a last assignment for the party, tear down the entrance to the Githianki portal tower. Too lazy do do the hard work themselves they rented some local workhands to do the demolishing, but after the first workers became food for the dwelling Ankhegs the work came to a crawling halt in the hot desert afternoon. Finally coercing some of the lesser intellectuals of the group to do the work they managed to demolish the old stone house. Returning to collect the reward, they discovered that the door to Amaeus` mansion was simply gone. Breaking into his house didnt offer much of a challenge, after the halfling finally managed to throw his grappling hook in the window, accidentally also hitting the half orc in the back of the head while he jumped the 3,5 meters.

Well inside they discovered the maimed body of one of the guards, his entrails ripped straight out of his chest leaving a gaping wound. The halfling spurred by sudden feeling of injustice started running down the halls to find whoever did this, but was stopped by the more calm paladin in the party. Then Midas the paladin used his divine power to detect evil, and a strong residue lead him running head over heels down into the basement. Again passing the shadowy buckler hanging on the wall. They allready knew the secret entrance into Amadeus`winecellar and followed the trail into the underground tunnels and out to one of the wells. A hidden tunnel not earlier discovered led them into a large underground cavern, with deep waters hiding something evil. A sea cat attacked them when the monk tried to jump the water, but slipped on the wet rocks falling into the water. Ravaged by their meeting with the cat they finally managed to get into what seemed like a man made dungeon, filled with cages and dead bodies. In this room they also found their equipment that they earlier delivered to Amadeus for identification. Having searched the room for anything of value they started to haul off the goods and go into the next one. Their hearing impaired by their heavy boots and carrying a large chest of gold, they fail to discover that one of the bodies still have some life left. After having a small morale talk with his god, the paladin decides to check the corpses, discovering that there is a fellow man of faith (4th level Cleric) in one of the cages. This character is played by Tor Harald, and is henceforth known as Lazarus.

After getting Lazarus back on his feet the party enters the the door to the "throne room", a square box roughly 100 x 100 meters, with a 10 meter high pidestal in the center, walls painted with blue sky giving off an eerie light in this fabricated underground resemblance of desert landscape. Already waiting for the party, an abomination the size of two grown men stands Amadeus. Stolen bloodveins and pieces of intestine covers the old wizards natural body, pulsating with every breath he takes. He screams a challenge at them, to either join his force and obey him as a god, or to join his body and be a part of him. Blasphemous words bite hard into the heart of the paladin Midas who races to to have the abomination decapitated, the only problem is that he is up on his pidestal. The halfling tries to shoot him with his repeating crossbow, the cleric tries to throw holy water up at him, nearly succeeding. Untill the entrance portal is found hidden as a piece of the mountain itself. The paladin gets the first try face to back while Amadeus is spraying the party on the ground with fireballs and lightning that seemingly does not affect the paladin at all! Right before striking its back, Amadeus turns, grabs the paladin and drags him over the edge. Falling 10 meters is a big deal, falling 10 meters with heavy armor and a brimming backpack is quite annoying to be honest. Amadeus uses feather fall to silently float behind the halfling who flees in panic, dropping his crossbow. On the ground Amadeus is facing a serious group of fighters, his highlevel spells running low he recieves blow after blow before finally a roundhouse kick to the head finishes him.
